Pilot Instruction
Paraura is excited to offer training to all prospective pilots through our thorough and safety-orientated approach. Everything we teach you during your training with Paraura has SAFETY in mind first and formost. The instructors working with Paraura provide our clients the best in training facilities and methods.
Courses and Costs
We offer three different training courses
- 1/2 Day Introductionary Course @ R850
- 2 Day Introductionary Course @ R2 500
- Full Student Paragliding Course @ R12 500
When required to do so, Paraura Paragliding may join hands with other registered and accredited paragliding instructors and/or schools to provide you with the best training available - depending on where you may be situated in the country.
The criteria that you will need to fullfill in order to qualify for your paragliding license is as follows:
- 35 Flights under the instruction of a registered instructor
- 5 hours combined flight time
A student license is valid for 6 months, so you should do all you can to complete your course within the initial 6 months. Once qualified, you will be required to purchase your own equipment. Paraura's chief instructor Bruce Zaayman is also the sole imported and distributor for Skywalk Paragliders is not an agent for any specific paragliding manufacturer and we assist our students in choosing the best suited glider for you! I mean, it doesn't help buying a glider through a agent who charges an enormous amount for a glider that may not be best suited to the pilots flying style, skill level and risk orientation. We will often have this conversation throughout the course of your training.

Once you have called and booked a time and venue, show up at the site as agreed and the rest will be taken care of. If you would like to being the family along for this amazing adventure, please feel free to do so! If required, we can cater for their needs separately.
