So you really want to get a taste of what it's like to go from point "A" to point "EXTACY" by taking a tandem flight? Well our Tandem Flight Instructors or TFI's are there to make this happen for you. Whether it's a short introductory flight or a longer cross country expidition, you are bound to be wowed by the absolute feeling of freedom.
We operate both in-land in the Rustenburg, Volksrust, Dunnottar, Bambi and Barberton areas, and then also in then also in the Cape Town and Wilderness areas during specific times of year or when guiding tour groups.
What you really want is to have a flight with Bruce and his team. You will get to experience exactly the thrill and adrenalin rush together with taking in some amazing views whilst operating your camera to make sure that your friends envy every second of this epic experience.
You absolutely do not need any prior experience and the bonus is that there is absolutely no age limit for you to come flying with us.
We will require you to wear comfortable closed shoes - preferably something like a hiking boot. All you will be required to do is assist with the launch of the paraglider by running for a little bit. If you're capable of 10 to 15 steps of running, then you are fully qualified to come fly!
To book your tandem paragliding experience give Bruce a call or send us an email. Our contact details are as follows:
Once you have called to arrange a time and venue, show up at the site as agreed and the rest will be taken care of. You will be driven to launch and handed some water - for the dry mouth! :-)
Flights with TFI pilots will be done at a charge of R550 per flight for a normal introductionary instructional tandem flight, with cross country flights being a little more expensive.
Normal instructional tandem flights have a duration of between 10 and 20 minutes and we generally try to land where we start or the closest safe landing spot available to us.
XC flights (cross-country flights) will give you a little more bang for your buck with flights generally ranging from 30 minutes to an hour. During these XC flights, we will try to catch as many thermals as we can and fly away from our launch spot to try and cover a distance of 10 to 20 km on average. Should the day allow, we may even go quite a bit further than this :-)
